Less than four years after being recognized as a state party at the United Nations’ climate change negotiations, Palestine is now leading the UN’s largest group of developing nations.  

Personal reading of the various aspects involved in moving between two points to write an ever-regenerating memory and a perception that is reshaped by geopolitical changes, day after day.

What Ramallah is experiencing in terms of the current political stagnation, sharp economic inequalities, and the real estate boom is having major impacts on the city’s urban and environmental deformation and destruction .

 It is an adage of the times that “information” is “power”. Under these terms we immediately think about information as numerical units, statistics, quantities and a wide range of computable data, which can later be used to take strategic decisions.

The writer choose Al-Sahel Street in Beit Jala as the geography to study and imagine how this dangerous yet vibrant street can turn into a safe and diverse place, with sidewalks that can positively influence socio-political and cultural engagement in and with the city.

Jidariyeh is an imaginary of a much-needed revolution for claiming space in Ramallah.
