Nasser Soumi was born in Palestine in 1948. He studied art at the National school of Fine Arts in  Damascuc, Syria , from which hw graduated in 1977, and at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris, France, from 1980 to 1982. Soumi is a multidisciplinary artist, whose work primarily consists of paintings, installations, video and performances. He works and lives in Paris.
