Mira Idris

Mira is an architect from Jerusalem. She is currently a research and teaching assistant at the Department of Architectural Engineering in Birzeit University. Idris is interested in literature, history and politics, but she is particularly passionate about art and art history and she has been sketching for years. In her work in architecture and urban planning she leans towards research and historical studies focusing on concepts of architecture and landscape. She is particularly interested in experiences based on artistic and community initiatives in local space development as important keys to design and criticism. She participated in local initiatives such as Zidney ‘Teach me more’, Kazder ‘Take a stroll’ and Nabd al Shabab ‘the pulse of Palestinian Youth’ in Ramallah and Jerusalem.
