Maroua Jerbi

she is a Tunisian researcher specializing in sustainable agriculture, with a focus on soil-plant-microorganism interactions to enhance food security while protecting the environment. She earned her engineering degree and later a PhD in agricultural sciences from the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia (INAT). Her post-doctoral work continues in the same field, developing agroecological practices such as using beneficial microorganisms (including mycorrhizal fungi), intercropping, and reduced tillage to reduce chemical inputs and strengthen cropping systems under abiotic stress. She has also published research on how environmental factors, such as soil and climate, affect mycorrhizal colonization in cereals in Northern Tunisia.
