Today July 30th is the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly. This year’s theme is to highlight the importance of listening to and learning from survivors of human trafficking. For several years now, as part of the “Labor Migration and Human Trafficking in Jordan” project, the Heinrich Böll Foundation - Palestine and Jordan and its partners are working tirelessly in combating trafficking in persons in Jordan and the region. Our projects focus on empowering victims of human trafficking, aim to raise awareness on this crime and to support both civil society and state-led efforts to combat human trafficking.
