The Heinrich Böll Stiftung is implementing a project in partnership with the Ministry of Local Government, called “Review of the Ministry of Local Government Strategic Plan from Gender Perspective”. The ministry of Local Government (MoLG) and since its establishment works on continuous development of its work, and performance.
In 2010, MoLG has developed its strategic plan at which the mandate, policies, strategies and objectives has been identified to help the MoLG in its work. However, and since gender mainstreaming is becoming an important issue, MoLG and HBS are seeking to ensure that gender is well integrated within the Palestinian local governance sector, and as part of the gender integration process to mainstream gender in the MoLG strategic plan. In order to achieve this, the two parties are seeking to outsource this task, through the recruitment of a consultant.
The Heinrich Böll Stiftung will work on empowering Gender unit at the MoLG to develop an action plan for the unit based on the SP of the MolG, and on enriching the MoLG SP with gender oriented content and concepts.
