Palestinian Youth Communication Project- phase II: “Young people are planning… Young people are doing”
Palestinian Center for Policy Research and Strategic Studies (MASARAT) in cooperation with Heinrich Böll Stiftung started on 2011 a project to facilitate communication between different young Palestinians in different locations: West Bank, Gaza Strip Israel, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. The communications was mainly through video conferences and internet.
In 2012 hbs and MASARAT decided to facilitate a workshop for these young people in order to meet and discuss their main challenges in the different locations. The workshop was held in Turkey Istanbul 22-25 March 2012. It was attended by 22 young Palestinians.
The workshop resulted in establishing a follow up committee for the young group, a facebook page for the participants in which they discuss their strategies and activities. The outcome of the workshop was outlines for an action plan for the participants that they will work on implementing with the aim to develop a strategy paper for young Palestinians that could be published to be discussed by other groups.
